After spending over 15 years in coal mining in the Bowen Basin and Central Highlands, Joel made the move to purchase Sunshine Coast Hose & Fittings in February 2023, with a clear goal: bring high-level service and reliability to local businesses, while being closer to family.

Joel is joined by Jaydin, a Field Service Technician he worked with in the Bowen Basin in 2022. Jaydin joined the Sunshine Coast Hose & Fittings team in 2025, bringing shared experience in high-pressure environments. Together, they deliver reliable, practical solutions on every job.

Joel

Owner / Field Service Technician

Joel runs the business with a strong focus on honesty, integrity, and reliability. With a family-first mindset, he understands the importance of keeping things running smoothly and doing what he says he will. Backed by years of hands-on experience, his approach is centered on continuous improvement and delivering practical, reliable solutions that get the job done right the first time.

His background means he understands the pressures clients face, when a machine is down, time is money. That’s why his approach is simple: offer honest and transparent solutions while using quality product at a competitive rate.

Joel is a father of four and lives locally on a small acreage on the Sunshine Coast. Outside of work, he values time with family, staying active, and switching off from technology to spend time outdoors.

Experience & Background

  • 18 years in the industry

  • Worked across 40+ mine sites

  • Serviced hundreds of clients across mining, transport, and heavy equipment from large businesses to owner operators 

  • Trade background with a strong problem-solving mindset

jaydin

Jaydin is a motivated and hardworking technician who brings energy, reliability, and a strong willingness to learn. Having entered the industry at a young age, he approaches his work with humility and a genuine appreciation for the opportunity to grow under experienced guidance.

Jaydin understands that when machinery is down, time is critical. He approaches each job with focus, attention to detail, a commitment to getting the job done properly the first time and servicing every customer with a positive attitude and contagious smile.

Outside of work, Jaydin is committed to personal growth. He trains in MMA, values discipline and consistency, and actively upskills in areas such as AI and personal mindset development. These habits carry directly into his work ethic and approach on the job.

Experience & Background

  • 3 and a half years in the mining industry across multiple sites

  • Specialising in bulk re-hose work on exploration drills, drill and blast drills, rod slews, and mud pumps

  • A further 10 months experience working on civil machines in the Brisbane region

  • Trained and mentored directly under an experienced industry professional

  • Strong focus on discipline, learning, and continuous improvement

  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to high-quality workmanship

Eloise keeps the business running behind the scenes with a focus on organisation, clear communication, and genuine care for the people we work with. She manages the day‑to‑day operations of the office — from customer enquiries, accounts, systems, and everything in between — ensuring clients receive reliable, timely support.

With a strong foundation in administration and people‑focused roles, Eloise brings experience, professionalism, and calm to the team.  As a mum of four, she understands the importance of balancing priorities and keeping things running smoothly, both at work and at home.

Eloise is proud to be part of the family business and enjoys supporting other locally operated businesses on the Sunshine Coast. Outside of work, she values time with family, staying active, and enjoying the outdoors.
